Flat roof installations
A flat roof essentially offers two ways of installing solar panels. One where the panels are facing south, a so called S-Dome, and one where the panels are facing east-and west. Both systems follow the same principle, though. The panels are fastened on rails that are anchored to the roof with ballast weights. Note that a flat roof installation never involves any drilling in the roof itself. In rare cases the panel rails can be secured in the roof frame for extra protection against wind. The video shows the principles of a typical S-Dome flat roof installation with the K2 mounting system.
